BetKing.com concentrating on integrity with IBIA membership

Online casino and sportsbook operator SV Gaming Limited has announced that its Africa-facing domain at BetKing.com has become the latest member of the International Betting Integrity Association (IBIA) anti-corruption organization.

Established in 2018, the iGaming firm trading under the KingMakers Group moniker used an official press release (pdf) to declare that the move is destined to strengthen the online sportsbetting body’s ‘integrity network in Africa’ by allowing the world-renowned organization to take advantage of data supplied by BetKing.com, which is licensed to offer online and retail sports wagering services to aficionados in Kenya, Ghana, Ethiopia and Nigeria.

Prominent players:

Karim Fatih serves as the BetKing.com Head of Trading Operations for SV Gaming Limited and he used the press release to detail that the domain has now become a part of an organization whose membership already accounts for almost half of the planet’s regulated commercial online sportsbetting handle and regularly racks up $137 billion in annual aggregated turnover. He furthermore explained that his site will begin feeding into the IBIA’s integrity monitoring and alert platform in order to help further identify, supress and eliminate fraudulent wagering activities.

Read a statement from Fatih…

“We are delighted to have joined the fight against corruption in sport and look forward to working with the IBIA and our colleagues across the industry in tackling match-fixing and all associated fraudulent activities.”

All-out advocacy:

For its part and the IBIA launched in 2005 as ESSA Sports Betting Integrity and counts giant industry names including Flutter Entertainment, LeoVegas AB, Entain and Betfred among its membership. The Brussels-headquartered organization pronounced that it ‘is run by operators for operators’ with the stated aim of serving as a ‘global voice on integrity for the licensed betting industry’ via the utilization of an innovative platform ‘that detects and reports suspicious activity on its members’ betting markets.’

Latest links:

The IBIA has recently welcomed a number of other high-profile names from the world of iGaming into its anti-fraud club including last month’s embrace of Scandinavia-facing online casino operator ComeOn Group as well as the BetConstruct-run sportsbetting domain at VBet.co.uk. These joins were followed only last week by the acceptance of CoolBet.com following this site’s own receipt of a license from the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario.

A statement from the IBIA read…

“The IBIA has long-standing information sharing partnerships with leading sports and gambling regulators to utilize its data and prosecute corruption. It represents the sector at high-level policy discussion forums such as the International Olympic Committee, United Nations, Council of Europe and European Commission.”
