Nestle India, Tata Elxsi, Hindustan Aeronautics and Bharat Forge among 183 stocks that hit 52-week high; 7 touch 52-week low

The benchmark equity indices, NSE Nifty 50 and BSE Sensex surged to new highs of 21,037.90 and 70,033.64, respectively, during early trade. However, they have since retraced and are currently trading in the red during intraday trading on Tuesday. The NSE Nifty 50 is trading at 20,956.50, down 40.60 points or 0.19%, while the BSE Sensex trades at 69,724.92, down 203.61 points or 0.29%. The broader indices are trading largely in red, dragged by select Smallcap and Midcap stocks. The Bank Nifty index is trading at 47,124, down 190.25 points or 0.40%. Media and Metal stocks are leading the gains among the other sectoral indices, while Realty, Consumer Durables, and Auto stocks are facing downward pressure.

HDFC Life Insurance Company, UltraTech Cement, Bajaj Auto, Hindalco Industries and SBI Life Insurance Company are leading the gains on the NSE Nifty 50, while the laggards include Apollo Hospitals, Sun Pharma, Titan Company, Eicher Motors and Maruti Suzuki India.

Mankind Pharma, IREDA, HDFC Bank, Dixon Technologies, Zee Entertainment and Yes Bank are among the most active stocks on the NSE.
